Frequently asked questions

We have over 20 years of karting experience, making us one of the longest running karting venues in the UK. We are London’s most central outdoor go kart track, with a genuine tarmac track, we are open all year during all weather conditions, so you can drift during raining season and bask in the sun during the summer. We are London’s place to race.

There is no age limit however Revolution Karting has a height restriction of 5 ft 1 (1.55m). However if you are under 18 you must have a parent or guardian attend with you to sign your disclaimer even if they do not race.

The karts are heavy and have a degree of physicality in controlling them.

Some private events require racers to be over 18 (mini and full gp/ enduro) we do offer a private fun hour open to all drivers of all ages providing they are over 5 foot tall.

We ask that you arrive 30 minutes before your booked time,so if you book for 3pm we ask you to arrive at 230pm so we can go through some admin processes and prep for your kart session.

There are a few pieces of admin that have to be taken care of, also you will have to suit up, and then listen to our mandatory race briefing. If you are late you run the risk of losing race time.

We have a minimal number of car parking spaces directly outside the venue, however these are shared with the other businesses on site. We suggest that you park in the leisure centre next door. Dont forget to buy a ticket! But due to our excellent location we have excellent public transport links, we would suggest either taking the tube to Mile End station or overhead or DLR to Limehouse station we are a 10 minute walk along from there. Or you could walk along the beautiful regents canal, it cant be beaten on a summers day.

Revolution karting

422-424 burdett road, Mile End, london, E3 4AA

or if you use ‘What 3 words’ ///Fields.caged.rocks

will take you to the site entrance

You can take the central line to Mile End station and its a 10 minute walk from there,

You also have Limehouse DLR 7 minute walk away

There are 2 bus stops opposite the track- Ackroyd drive (stop MB) and St Paul’s way (stop MG) with the D6, D7 and 277 stopping at both stops

Go karting is a physical sport, so we suggest your clothing should reflect that.

sensible flat heeled shoes, plimsoles or trainers are the recommended foot wear, you will not be able to race in heels, open toe shoes, sandals or flip flops

We recommend trousers/shorts and a t shirt for Summer, and extra layers for winter,

we can offer you an extra layer of race wear (waterproofs or race suit)

any loose clothing such as scarves, loose fitting jackets will have to be removed before entering karts for health and safety racing

Revolution karting is an outdoor all weather track, we will continue events in all weather except in the extreme cases. We can provide showers (private events only)if you get a little grubby, in wet weather situations we recommend bringing a spare change of clothes.

Some have said the skill level in racing in wet conditions is a lot higher and is more of an endurance challenge. Some just like to drift which is also possible

Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen race in the rain, we think it should be an option for you guys aswell!

We use the bowman storm EV kart. An electric kart not only are they faster and deliver more torque than your standard gas’s or petrol kart, they are infinitely better for the environment and easier to maintain.

No all open race session races must be completed by the same person who started, during the same session. This also means you can spread races out over a a certain amount of days. All races, same person, during the same session.
